Dear Friend!

Last week I got the new Actros from Jesus to Christmas, oh sorry from Tamiya. :)

I start to build but I have some Probleme some Items:

1. Cooler grill is not drilled.
2. handbrake is 2 pieces not 1 pieces, and very small, I must to see at gluing.
3. I use just glue between cab and side fender. no screw as like Scania.
4. .....

The Cab and rear fender is new, all other parts from the old truck, no improvements.

Nice to see you're next, which presents an Actros. I think it is to fine to make the holes in the grille. Show us a lot of pictures of the construction of your truck please.

a nice project...But it´s not a MP4, it´s ACTROS II. ;)

interesting, because I doesn't give this title him. Original was Tamiya Actros 2012 MP4.
 
Hi

the shortcut "MP" means 'Modellpflege'. The actual sold Actros is a new version and no facelift. So the correct name must be Actros II and not MP4.

Ja, ich habe den Titel geändert, weil ich Wert darauf lege, das man hier im Forum als Leser auch die Fahrzeuge unter ihren Namen findet.

Der Originaltitel war übrigens - Auszug aus dem Log.

Wow, great painting. Has your profession something to do with paintwork ?

Can you shortly explain in which order an which technic you painted the side cladding ?

Thanks ,but my friend is the painter. Painting is just hobby for him.

I found just the colors and layer plan.

Side panel layer:
1. silver grey
2. graphite grey
3. orange RAL 2008 (hellrotorange)
4. lack


We use a Standox Standohyd paint and lack and Tamiya primer.

I would like to congratulate yours Actros, I would not have a patient make a body with hand. Corner lights is good idea.
If you aren't to angry I copy your solution at fifth wheel hook moving system.

Your colour selection and the schema are cool, but I think I'd exchange the orange against another colour (e. g. red or light blue).
 
I thought an other colour, but i have an other truck, which remained this orange. And this colour is water based and very expensive/L.

Now isn't finished but the end is coming. :)

I will use a Servonaut S20 and USM-RC2 soundmodule. I like a some lights and sounds mode.
Gewu lightpanel front and rear side, and Servonaut AIR-U.
I saw on Rigid-Rc a reality rear suspension kit, maybe I will changed:
